Lisa Blackwood Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor
I am approved by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors to provide supervision to LPC-Interns. As a supervisor, I am looking for therapists who have acquired a temporary license and wish to work toward their required internship hours, and who are deeply interested in their personal growth as they learning the art of psychotherapy. My role as a supervisor is to teach clinical tools, mentor ethically, and consult in processing clinical cases. I assist in helping LPC-Interns explore countertransference issues, self-care, work and life balance. Also, as a business owner, I help my interns as they navigate, grow, and begin marketing a small business for a long term career.
I will be looking to take a post-graduate intern or two. If you would like to apply, please have all of the following completed to start the application process.

- Three references, at least one being from an academic faculty, and one from a professional colleague or supervisor. Please notified your resources that they maybe receive a call.
Once the completed information has been reviewed, you will receive notification if you are among those chosen for an interview. There will be three or four called in for a second interview, then referred to the next step in the selection process.
