About Lisie

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, through the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors. I received my Master of Arts in Counseling from the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Lawrence University. As part of my graduate studies at the Seminary of the Southwest, I completed my mental health practicum and internship training with Austin Wellness, PLLC. My counseling approach involves both mental and spiritual health which aligns with Austin Wellness, PLLC.

Because I believe a person can find solutions when true authenticity is engaged, my goal is to help each client to find their authentic voice. My training and experience convey the ability to individualize counseling for each person incorporating non-judgmental and empathic listening. I bring a strong desire to help others utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach for children, women, men, and couples. In addition, I have taught relationship classes, self-care classes and have facilitated caregiver support groups.

In addition to being trained in EMDR, I also use the Enneagram as a tool for self-discovery. This tool can bring awareness and depth to understanding the lens through which we see the world. I offer online counseling as needed in addition to meeting clients at Austin Wellness, PLLC. In addition to my counseling experience, I have worked professionally for non-profit agencies in fund development, grant writing, and volunteer services. I have worked with various non-profit programs and communication fields establishing important community connections. These experiences offer years of knowledge and insight, with skills in relationship-building, attentiveness to diversity and managing crises.

I have an active spiritual life and enjoy running, reading and being with family. Originally from Boston, I have lived in Austin for over 25 years and have been married for over 30. I have three adult children and two precious dogs.
